Carlos Deleon Killed in Hit-and-Run near Normandie Avenue [Los Angeles, CA]

Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash near Normandie Avenue and 42nd Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 6, 2021) – Carlos Deleon died in a hit-and-run late Wednesday evening in the Vermont Square area.
 
The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. on March 31 near Normandie Avenue and 42nd Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.
 
A news photographer at the scene said the 53-year-old Los Angeles resident was in a crosswalk when a vehicle struck him. The victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The involved driver did not stop after the crash. Detectives canvassed the area for surveillance video of the area to try to identify the suspect vehicle.
