Authorities Identify Woman Killed in Broadside Crash on Franklin Boulevard at 21st Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 3, 2021)Carla Ochoa has been identified as the woman who died in a broadside accident in Sacramento late Monday afternoon, June 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:10 p.m. in the area of Franklin Boulevard and 21st Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 25-year-old Sacramento woman had just picked up her two-year-old son Noah from her family’s thrift store when a pickup truck broadsided her at the intersection.
 
As a result, Ochoa suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Noah was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver was not seriously injured in the crash.
 
The victim’s father claims the driver tried to flee the scene but was stopped by the victim’s mother.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
