One Critical after Suspected DUI Accident on Vermont-Slauson Area in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 13, 2021) – Police confirmed that a car slammed into a taco stand following a suspected DUI accident in the Vermont-Slauson area on July 8.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at South Miller Street at approximately 2:12 PM.
Based on reports, two vehicles collided in the lanes. Subsequently, one car ran up into a sidewalk before crashing through a fence. In the end, it slammed into a taco stand in the area.
As a result, the driver of the car sustained critical injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
Also, the crash destroyed the taco stand.
Police said they found alcohol in the vehicles. However, it was not known if the injured driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
