BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 9, 2021) — A crash near Palm Avenue and Old Farm Road led to a vehicle fire July 5 in Northwest Bakersfield.
According to the authorities, reports about the incident came in at about 7:00 a.m. on Monday. Per the callers, a car crashed into a parked semi-truck.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a Kia smashed into the big rig. Reports indicated that the vehicle burst into flames after the collision, while the driver was still in the car.
Several people in the area rushed to pull out the driver from the burning vehicle while awaiting the emergency responders. There was no word, however, about the condition of the driver or whether they needed medical transport. It was also not immediately clear if there were people inside the semi-truck at the time of the collision.
