32-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in South El Monte Hit-and-Run Crash

 
SOUTH EL MONTE, CA (November 9, 2021)Candace Ostler was killed in a motorcycle hit-and-run crash in South El Monte Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:25 p.m. on November 6 on the transition from the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway to the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway. Ostler was riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when she crashed into a metal guardrail for unknown reasons.
 
The impact ejected her from her bike. While she was lying in the traffic lane, a four-door sedan then struck her.
 
After striking her, the driver of the sedan did not stop to render aid.
 
Ostler suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was a 32-year-old Chino Hills resident.
 
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the fatality. Anyone with information was asked to call Officer A. Hamel or Officer K. Tao at 562-868-0503.
