Briana Jones Killed in Multi-Car Accident on Highway 101 near Fair Oaks Avenue

 
SUNNYVALE, CA (September 2, 2021) — Briana Jones died in a multi-car crash on Highway 101 near Fair Oaks Avenue Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened around 3:10 a.m. For unknown reasons, 19-year-old Jones crashed into the center median while traveling south. As a result, her 1998 Honda Civic sustained a flat tire.
 
In an attempt to steer her car to the right shoulder of the highway, drivers in a 2020 Honda Civic and 2018 Subaru WRX struck her vehicle.
 
Tragically, Jones died at the scene and the two other drivers complained of pain.
 
At this time, CHP officers have ruled out impairment as an explanation for the accident. However, if anyone has more information on this accident, please call the CHP.
