Deadly UTV Rollover on Dumont Dunes Off-Highway in Baker

 
BAKER, CA (March 3, 2021) – A man who died in a UTV rollover accident Saturday last week in Baker has been identified as Bradley Scott Mowdy.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:32 p.m., February 20 in the Dumont Dunes Off Highway Vehicle area.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Mowdy, a 62-year-old Corcoran resident, was driving the UTV in an off-road recreation area when the vehicle overturned for unknown reasons.
 
Mowdy suffered major injuries from the impact and died at the scene.
 
It is still unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. However, the Barstow office of the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
