Teenage Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver Samuel Rocha on Ventura Road at Pleasant Valley Road

 
PORT HUENEME, CA (April 21, 2021) – A teenage bicyclist was killed and Samuel Rocha was arrested after a hit-and-run crash in Port Hueneme Monday evening, April 19.
 
According to the Port Hueneme Police Department, the incident was reported around 9:28 p.m. on Ventura Road at Pleasant Valley Road.
 
Rocha, a 28-year-old Port Hueneme resident, was driving a dark sedan. For unknown reasons, he plowed into a group of seven young bicyclists and fled the scene.
 
Responding emergency personnel arrived to find three teenage male victims, all with significant injuries. They took all three to local hospitals, where one of them later died.
 
The second victim is in critical condition. The third victim suffered significant injuries to his lower body.
 
Rocha eventually turned himself into police. He was arrested for murder.
