DUI Accident on Oceanside Boulevard Kills Bicyclist, Driver Arrested

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (May 23, 2021) – A bicyclist died Saturday in a DUI accident at Oceanside Boulevard and Beverly Glen Drive.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:50 a.m. on May 21. According to the Oceanside Police Department, a vehicle was traveling west on Oceanside Boulevard when it struck the bicyclist.
 
First responders found the bicyclist unresponsive on the road, just west of the intersection. Paramedics performed life-saving aid, but the victim died at the scene. He has not yet been identified.
 
Police arrested the involved driver on suspicion of driving while impaired.
 
At this time, the crash is under investigation.
