John Hermoso Dies after Bicycle-Vehicle Accident in Angeles National Forest

 
SANTA CLARITA VALLEY, CA (May 6, 2022) – One person died in a bicycle accident on Santa Clara Truck Trail south of Sand Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest on Saturday, April 30.
 
The victim was identified as 37-year-old John Hermoso of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
 
The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. on April 30 in the Santa Clarita Valley. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, A blue BMW 323CI traveled southbound on Santa Clara Truck Trail in the southbound lane at approximately 15 mph.
 
At the same time, Hermoso traveled northbound in the southbound lanes of Santa Clara Truck Trail.
 
As the BMW and Hermoso were traveling around a blind curve in the roadway, the BMW and bicyclist were involved in a head-on collision.
 
As a result, Hermoso died due to his injuries at the scene.
 
The driver and solo-occupant of the BMW did not sustain any injuries.
