Bicyclist Sustains Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Olympic Boulevard in South LA

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (June 20, 2022) – A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash at Olympic Boulevard and Mateo Street in South Los Angeles on Wednesday at noon.
 
The crash happened on June 15, just east of South Santa Fe Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the driver of a 2006 burgundy Toyota Highlander struck the bicyclist and drove away without rendering aid.
 
The bicyclist suffered unspecified injuries and is now recovering.
 
Police described the hit-and-run suspect as a male Latino between 20 to 25 years old. They also learned that the Toyota Highlander is not registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles and they do not know who owns it.
