SANTA BARBARA, CA (April 2, 2021) — A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 192 near Cheltenham Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicycle crash happened around 3:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a green pickup truck slammed into the cyclist. Soon after, CHP officers responded and found the victim with abdomen and torso injuries but the driver unaccounted for.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital for treatment.
 
At this time, detectives have no information on the driver involved in this hit-and-run. However, if any witnesses can help authorities determine the suspect’s whereabouts, please contact law enforcement.
