Bicyclist Sustains Injuries after Colliding with Car Head-On at Hooven and Dows Prairie Roads

 
MCKINLEYVILLE, CA (May 25, 2022) – A bicyclist was hurt in head-on accident at Hooven Road ad Dows Prairie Road in McKinleyville on Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 9:01 a.m. on May 23. According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicyclist was traveling down on the roadway when they collided head-on with a dark blue Bronco Sport SUV at the intersection.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the bicyclist to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash. It is also unclear if drugs or alcohol played a factor.
 
An investigation into this accident is ongoing.
