Bicyclist Fatally Hit by Vehicle on Highway 113 in Knights Landing
KNIGHTS LANDING, CA (August 13, 2024) — A bicyclist was hit and killed by a car on Highway 113 near County Road 102.
According to the California Highway Patrol Woodland office, the deadly bicycle crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a cyclist pedaling on the right-hand shoulder veered in front of an oncoming Jeep. Subsequently, the Jeep struck the bicyclist.
Minutes later, paramedics responded and took the injured victim to a hospital where the individual passed away. The Yolo County Coroner’s officials have yet to identify the person.
No one inside the Jeep reported any injuries, and drugs and alcohol did not play a factor, authorities confirmed.
