VISALIA, CA (August 14, 2024) — A bicyclist died in a hit-and-run accident near Caldwell Avenue and Ben Maddox Way.
 
According to Visalia Police officers, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a person on a bike near Caldwell Avenue and Ben Maddox Way.
 
Police responded to find the victim dead at the scene. The driver had left prior to their arrival. However, authorities located the abandoned vehicle a short distance away.
