Bicyclist Suffers Serious Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Hoover Street in Westlake

 
WESTLAKE, CA (May 28, 2023) – A bicyclist was badly injured in a hit-and-run crash at Hoover Street and Carondelet Street in the Westlake area on May 13.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a white older-model Nissan Sentra struck the male bicyclist at the intersection around 8:45 p.m.
 
After striking the victim, the driver of the Sentra fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the man to a hospital for treatment of severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police said the Sentra will likely have front end, hood, and windshield damage.
 
The city of Los Angeles offered a standing reward of up to $25,000 for information that helps solve this case.
