Bianca Flores Killed, Iqbal Singh Arrested after Bakersfield Street Racing Collision

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 4, 2022) — A 19-year-old Arvin woman identified as Bianca Danielle Flores died in a street racing crash.
 
According to a Bakersfield Police Department, the crash that involved three vehicles occurred on Panama Lane, west of Akers Road on Wednesday, February 2.
 
The initial investigation determined a driver of the Ford Mustang was street racing with a motorcycle. For reasons still unknown, the driver in the Ford Mustang crossed into oncoming traffic. Then it struck head-on the vehicle Flores was in.
 
The Ford Mustang went into flames after the incident. The motorcycle fled and was not yet found, police said.
 
Flores died at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle, a woman, had moderate injuries. Medics rushed her to a hospital in an ambulance.
 
A woman in another vehicle had minor injuries and was privately brought to a hospital.
 
Officials arrested the Ford driver, 35-year-old Iqbal Singh. He is not yet in custody as of 10 a.m. Thursday. Singh had moderate injuries and is receiving treatment at Kern Medical. After he is medically cleared, officials will book him into Kern County Jail.
