69-Year-Old Educator Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Five Points
FIVE POINTS, CA, (August 15, 2024) – Baldomero Solorio-Hernandez was hit and killed by a vehicle in the small community of Five Points Saturday evening on August 10.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Solorio-Hernandez was crossing 10th Avenue to get to his truck when he was struck by a vehicle.
The impact caused the victim fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was a 69-year-old Five Points resident.
Solorio-Hernandez was the principal and superintendent of Westside Elementary School in Five Points. He leaves behind two daughters, two sons and four grandchildren.
It was unclear if the driver of the involved vehicle stayed after the crash.
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
