Norwalk Car Accident on 105 Freeway Kills Austin Carey

 
NORWALK, CA (October 1, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on the Century (105) Freeway in Norwalk Wednesday, September 29.
 
29-year-old Austin Carey of Rialto, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:48 p.m. near the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway intersection. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles had collided for unknown reasons.
 
The crash caused fatal injuries to Carey.
 
After the crash, crews closed four right lanes of the eastbound 105 Freeway, as well as the freeway’s eastbound Bellflower Boulevard on-ramp, for an unknown duration while they cleared the scene.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
