Fatal Car Accident on 405 Freeway near El Segundo Boulevard [Hawthorne, CA]

At Least One Dead in Hawthorne Two-Car Crash on 405 Freeway

 
HAWTHORNE, CA (May 4, 2021) — At least one person was killed in a two-car accident on the 405 Freeway near El Segundo Boulevard Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 3:00 a.m. accident left two vehicles overturned. Under unclear circumstances, a Ford Mustang and a Chevy Camaro crashed near El Segundo Boulevard.
 
Soon after, firefighter-paramedics arrived at the scene and found both vehicles on their sides. During rescue attempts, firefighters found an unconscious man inside the Mustang. However, reports did not release an update on his condition.
 
At this time, authorities have no information on the fatal victim and the ultimate cause of the collision. However, if anyone has further insight into this crash, please contact the CHP.
