At Least 3 Killed in Plane Crash near Ponderosa Golf Course and Brockway Road
TRUCKEE, CA (July 29, 2021) — At least three people died in Monday’s plane crash near the Ponderosa Golf Course and Brockway Road.
According to officials, the fatal plane accident happened around 1:18 p.m. For unknown reasons, the Bombardier CL 600 tried to make a final landing at the Truckee-Tahoe airport but went down in the forest near the airport instead. As a result of the crash, the jet burst into flames, killing at least three people on board.
Per reports, the CL 600 is a multi-seat business jet that can carry up to 14 passengers and two crew members. At this time, authorities believe that the plane may have originated from Idaho or Florida prior to its attempted arrival at the airport.
