At Least 2 Hurt in Sewage Tanker Truck Crash on Highway 371

AGUANGA, CA (October 14, 2021) — At least two people were injured in a sewage tanker truck accident on Highway 371 at Highway 79 Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision that involved a Ford Expedition happened around 11:30 a.m. Under unknown road conditions, a driver in a tanker truck tried to transition from the eastbound Highway 371 to Highway 79 North. However, authorities believe the trucker might have lost control, which caused the rig to tip over and land on the SUV.

Tragically, an adult and a child suffered traumatic injuries. Meanwhile, CHP interviewed the uninjured trucker driver while a hazardous materials unit tended to a leak from the truck.

At this time, the crash requires additional investigation. However, anyone with more information should contact the authorities.
