1 Hospitalized in Santa Clarita Overturned Accident on 5 Freeway

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (April 12, 2022) — At least one person was injured in an overturned crash on the 5 Freeway near Rye Canyon Road on Monday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the overturned collision happened around 6:45 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, two vehicles collided and rolled over. As a result, one person became trapped in one of the vehicles, beckoning firefighter-paramedics to free the victim from the wreckage.
 
By 7:00 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers issued a SigAlert, blocking the No. 1 and 2 lanes on the southbound side.
