Salvador Barnes Arrested for DUI after Fatal Crash in Moreno Valley
MORENO VALLEY, CA (February 9, 2021) – 6-year-old Arabella Barnes died in a DUI accident last month in Moreno Valley.
The accident happened around 6:45 p.m., January 28, at the intersection of Heacock Street and Ironwood Avenue.
Arabella was a passenger in a vehicle, driven by 44-year-old Salvador Joseph Barnes. The vehicle struck a traffic light pole, causing Arabella major injuries.
Paramedics rushed the girl to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she died three days later.
On Thursday, police arrested Barnes on suspicion of DUI and was released after posting bail.
After the girl died, a murder charge against Barnes was filed Friday, according to court documents. Police booked him at Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside in lieu of $1 million bail.
