Los Angeles Man Identified as Victim in Fatal Rollover Crash on Panama Lane

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 30, 2021) – Authorities identified the driver who died in a rollover accident on March 17 at Panama Lane and Stine Road.
 
He was 29-year-old Antwon Jerwon Washington of Los Angeles, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
 
Washington was driving his car when for unknown reasons, he lost control. The car then struck a tree and overturned around 2:31 a.m. The impact ejected Washington from the vehicle.
 
Emergency personnel tried saving Washington, but he died at the scene.
 
Police said a second vehicle was involved. The driver and passenger in that vehicle only sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
 
The Bakersfield Police Department said speed contributed to the crash, which is still under investigation.
