57-Year-Old Anthony Ramirez Dies after School Bus Crash on Highway 74 near Riverside Street in Lake Elsinore

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (May 13, 2022) – Authorities identified 57-year-old Anthony Ramirez of Lake Elsinore as the man killed in a bus accident on Highway 74 on Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on May 12, at about 6:30 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a Chevrolet HHR and a school bus collided near Riverside Street.
 
Emergency crews transported the Chevrolet driver, later identified as Ramirez, to Inland Valley Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead.
 
As per reports, one child aboard the bus suffered a leg injury and was also taken to Inland Valley Medical Center.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
