Driver Dies after Car Crashes on Cheseboro Road near Barrel Springs Road

 
PALMDALE, CA (March 13, 2021) – Authorities have identified the driver who died in a car accident Thursday afternoon in Palmdale.
 
He was 28-year-old Anthony Lawrence Desantis from Arlington, Virginia, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
The crash happened around 3:28 p.m., March 11, on Cheseboro Road north of Barrel Springs Road, CHP officials said.
 
Desantis was driving a 2006 Mazda 3 northbound on Cheseboro Road when he made an unsafe turning movement. The vehicle then veered to the left across the southbound lane and onto the west dirt shoulder. It went airborne and overturned, ejecting Desantis who was not wearing a seat belt.
 
Responding paramedics pronounced Desantis dead at the scene.
 
Officials are still trying to determine whether or not alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision. They asked anyone with information regarding this accident to contact Officer Alonzo at the Antelope Valley CHP Office at 661-948-8541.
