22-Year-Old Man Dies after Downtown LA Road Rage Hit-and-Run Crash

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 6, 2021) – Angel Demarcos was killed in a road rage hit-and-run crash in downtown Los Angeles Thursday evening, September 2.
 
The incident happened at the intersection of Figueroa Street and 17th Street. Authorities said the 22-year-old victim was driving his Dodge Challenger with his girlfriend in the passenger seat when a gray Kia Optima sideswiped them. Demarcos signaled for the other driver to pull over.
 
When Demarcos got out of his Challenger, the female driver of the Kia drove toward him, witnesses said. Demarcos jumped on the hood of the Kia as the woman started driving at high speeds and went around the corner.
 
The woman then made a turn in the roadway and fled the scene.
 
Demarcos fell off the car and later died.
 
A GoFundMe campaign to help the de Marcos family with funeral expenses has been started.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large.
 
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the fatal incident.
