Authorities Identity Second Victim of Deadly Crash on Lawrence Welk Court

 
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (April 11, 2021) – Authorities have identified the passenger who died in a car accident on April 1 in San Diego County.
 
He was 17-year-old Andrew Manriquez Alarcon of Vista, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
Alarcon was a passenger in a 2016 Toyota Scion that had crashed around 10:30 p.m. on Lawrence Welk Court, just west of 15 Freeway.
 
According to the CHP, the Scion was traveling at a high rate of speed when it went off the roadway and crashed down a steep hill.
 
As a result, Alarcon and the driver of the car, 19-year-old Hugo Alfredo Ramirez Ramirez, both died at the scene. Both were Vista residents.
 
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash. Further investigation is underway.
