Andrea Ortega Killed in Hit-and-Run on 101 Freeway [Sherman Oaks, CA]

Early Morning Hit-and-Run on Ventura Freeway in Sherman Oaks Leaves Pedestrian Dead

 
SHERMAN OAKS, CA (April 1, 2022) – Andrea Ortega was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Ventura (101) Freeway near the Sepulveda Pass in Sherman Oaks, early Thursday morning.
 
The crash happened around 4:16 a.m. on March 31 at the San Diego (405) Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck the 52-year-old pedestrian in unclear circumstances.
 
Officers arrived and pronounced Ortega dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver drove away and remains at large.
 
This fatal crash remains under investigation.
