Car Collides with Semi Truck on 10 Freeway in Cabazon Killing 2 People

 
CABAZON, CA (November 21, 2022) – Anabell Ortega and Alec Yzaguirre died in a semi truck accident in Cabazon early Saturday morning on November 19.
 
The accident happened around 1:40 a.m. on westbound 10 Freeway just east of Main Street. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, a Lexus ES 350 was traveling within the construction zone when it crashed into the rear of a tank trailer.
 
As a result, both the driver and the passenger of the Lexus died at the scene. Ortega was 44 years old and Yzaguirre was 38. Both were residents of Beaumont.
 
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. An investigation is ongoing.
