Good Samaritan Amalya Sukiasyan Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Sacramento County

 
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (April 21, 2021)Amalya Sukiasyan was hit and killed by a vehicle after she stopped to help a pedestrian that was struck by a car Friday night in Sacramento County.
 
The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on April 16, near the intersection of Folsom Boulevard and Bradshaw Road. Two more cars also stopped to assist and help the pedestrian.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, all three vehicles blocked the street when another car approached, failed to stop in time and hit Sukiasyan and another Good Samaritan.
 
As a result, the 40-year-old mother of four died at the scene.
 
The other Good Samaritan and the pedestrian involved in the first crash sustained moderate injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver who hit Sukiasyan stopped and cooperated with authorities.
 
This fatal incident is still under investigation.
