Alfonso Silva Killed in Rollover Accident on Long Beach Boulevard [Lynwood, CA]

Car Overturns in Lynwood Killing 33-Year-Old Man and Injuring Another

 
LYNWOOD, CA (July 19, 2022) – Alfonso Silva was killed in a rollover accident in Lynwood early Monday morning on July 18.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:15 a.m. on the Long Beach Boulevard off-ramp from the eastbound Glenn Anderson Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray four-door BMW had rolled over multiple times deploying airbags.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded and pronounced Silva dead at the scene. The victim was a 33-year-old man. It is unclear if he was the driver or a passenger in the car.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics took another person to a hospital for treatment of traumatic injuries.
 
Caltrans were at the scene to repair damage to a concrete barrier and guardrail, the CHP said.
 
Further investigation into this crash is underway. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was involved.
