Alexis Leon Detained in Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Berkshire Road near Little Valley Street

 
SOUTHWEST BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 23, 2022) — Police officers arrested Alexis Leon in a deadly hit-and-run accident on Berkshire Road near Little Valley Street.
 
According to reports, the fatal hit-and-run happened at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, 21-year-old Leon struck a woman in the 1300 block of Berkshire Road.
 
Subsequently, Leon left the scene but came back after an unknown duration. However, the unidentified woman lying on the street died in the crash.
 
During the investigation, police found Leon with signs of impairment and learned that speed might have factored into the crash, as well.
 
At this time, Leon faces multiple charges, including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Although, any witnesses who have more to add to this fatal accident can call the Bakersfield Police.
