Police Identify Woman Killed in Apparent Hit-and-Run Crash in Monterey Park

 
MONTEREY PARK, CA (May 28, 2023) – Alexandra Olener was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash in Monterey Park early Saturday morning on May 20.
 
According to the Monterey Park Police Department, officers were dispatched to Atlantic Boulevard near the 60 Freeway overpass around 1:36 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Olener dead in the middle of the northbound lanes.
 
Officer said Olener appeared to have been struck by an unknown vehicle.
 
Olener was 28 years old, according to the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office.
 
Olener’s cause of death was due to blunt traumatic injuries.
 
An investigation is underway. The department’s Traffic Bureau urged anyone with further information to call them at 626-307-1200.
