17-Year-Old Student Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck in Covina
COVINA, CA (October 2, 2024) – Alexander Lopez was hit and killed by a car in Covina Monday morning on September 30.
The fatal crash happened around 7:23 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Cypress Street, just near Northview High School. According to the Covina Police Department, Lopez was riding his bicycle to school when a white pickup truck hit him.
He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 17 years old of Covina. He attended a school within the Azusa Unified School District.
The driver was not arrested on Monday. An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
