FONTANA, CA (April 27, 2023) — Alejandro Oviedo faces an arrest following a DUI accident near Jurupa Avenue and Sierra Avenue.
 
According to Fontana Public Information Officer Daniel Romero, the DUI car accident happened on April 23 around 6:17 p.m.
 
For DUI-related reasons, 31-year-old Alejandro Oviedo crashed a car into another driver. Witnesses said he tried to leave the scene but following an extensive search, police were able to arrest him one-quarter mile away in the hills.
 
The other driver suffered unknown injuries, and paramedics took that patient to Kaiser Hospital for treatment. After Oviedo received care at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, officers booked him at West Valley Detention Center for DUI charges.
