Aolani Ramirez-Muniz, Elizabeth Muniz, Aileen Sotelo, and Michal Tostado Die in San Jacinto Accident
SAN JACINTO, CA (February 22, 2021) – Four people died after a multi-vehicle accident Thursday, February 11 in San Jacinto.
The accident happened around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of East 7th Street and Ramona Expressway. Witnesses indicated the crash was possibly caused by a wrong-way driver.
As a result, one occupant in a black Nissan Armada and two occupants in a white Kia Optima were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner officials identified the victims as 16-year-old Aileen Sotelo, 37-year-old Elizabeth Muniz and 31-year-old Michal Tostado. All were Hemet residents.
11-year-old Aolani Ramirez-Muniz of Eastvale died at Riverside University Health Care System Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
Two other occupants sustained injuries from the crash.
Further investigation into this tragic accident is underway. However, authorities asked other witnesses to call Deputy Munoz at the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, (951) 654-2702.
