16-Year-Old Aiden Gossage Dies after Struck by SUV in Long Beach, Kevin Dahl Arrested for DUI

 
LONG BEACH, CA (September 6, 2021) – A teen was killed and police arrested Kevin Chris Dahl after a DUI crash on Saturday evening, September 4.
 
16-year-old Aiden Gossage was a Long Beach resident, according to the coroner’s office.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:10 p.m. on Los Coyotes Diagonal at Deborah Street. According to the Long Beach Police Department, Gossage crossed the intersection in a marked crosswalk when a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Tracker struck him.
 
Responding paramedics attempted saving the victim, but pronounced Gossage dead at the scene.
 
Police later arrested Dahl, a 33-year-old Lakewood resident, on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter at $100,000. Dahl was released on bond at 7:12 a.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department inmate records.
