Adrian Calderon Dies in Merced Car Accident on Lake Road near Yosemite Avenue

 
MERCED, CA (May 25, 2021) — Adrian Calderon died in a multi-car accident on Lake Road near Yosemite Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8:38 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Lake Road. For unknown reasons, 40-year-old Calderon failed to stop his 2001 Honda Accord behind a 2014 Honda Accord that had slowed down to yield to a stopped 2018 Dodge Durango. Per reports, Calderon was traveling about 40 to 50 miles per hour before he collided with the Honda, which subsequently struck the Dodge.
 
As a result of the crash, Calderon died from his injuries at Mercy Medical Center. He was not wearing a seatbelt in the vehicle. Meanwhile, the driver and two passengers of the other Honda suffered merely minor injuries.
 
At this time, authorities have much to investigate. However, if anyone has more information on this accident, please contact the CHP.
