Skateboarder Dies after Hit by Pickup Truck in Clearlake
CLEARLAKE, CA (July 29, 2022) – Adam Huskey died in a skateboard accident in Clearlake Monday morning on July 25.
Huskey, a 32-year-old Clearlake resident, was riding his skateboard on Emory Avenue south of Mullen Avenue. At the same time, 24-year Dillon Mahoney of Clearlake was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
For unknown reasons, Mahoney struck Huskey at the intersection.
Huskey suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Police arrested Mahoney and booked him into the Lake County Jail on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.
