Adam Alvarez Hospitalized in Deadly Head-On Crash on Highway 33 near Lerdo Highway

BELRIDGE, CA (March 15, 2022) — Adam Alvarez suffered moderate injuries in a fatal head-on accident on Highway 33 near Lerdo Highway on Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened around 5:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a male driver of 2009 Honda driving northbound at an unknown speed lost control. Subsequently, the Honda swerved into the southbound lane and into the path of a southbound 2003 Toyota.
 
Although the 36-year-old Toyota driver – Alvarez – applied his brakes, both vehicles collided anyway in a head-on fashion.
 
Shortly after, paramedics and officers arrived at the scene and brought Alvarez to Kern Medical with moderate injuries.
 
As for the two men occupying the Honda, they suffered severe injuries and died sometime later. Police have not released their identities as of late.
 
At this time, CHP officers plan to look into DUI as a possible factor in this accident. However, any witnesses with insight should call Buttonwillow CHP at (661) 764-5580.
