Elderly Man on Motorized Scooter Dies after Struck by Car on La Jolla Boulevard

 
LA JOLLA, CA (June 13, 2022) – A 90-year-old man was killed in a scooter accident on La Jolla Boulevard Saturday afternoon on June 11.
 
The accident happened just after 4:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of La Jolla Boulevard at Gravilla Street. According to the San Diego Police Department, the elderly man was riding his motorized scooter and crossing the street in a crosswalk when a white Toyota Camry struck him.
 
The impact caused the man several injuries and he died at the hospital. He was not yet identified.
 
Meanwhile, the 80-year-old woman driving the Camry did not sustain any injuries.
