FRESNO, CA (May 24, 2024) — A 9-year-old boy suffered a broken leg in a pedestrian accident at Orchard Street and Michigan Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police, the pedestrian accident happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in front of Birney Elementary. While a 9-year-old child was running across the street after being dropped off, he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
 
Subsequently, police and emergency personnel responded to find the boy with a broken leg. The driver stayed at the scene for the investigation and was not believed to be under the influence.
