Man Killed in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on College Avenue

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 24, 2022) — An 88-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on College Avenue at University Avenue on Sunday.
 
According to San Diego Police, the fatal pedestrian accident happened in the Redwood Village neighborhood of San Diego around 11:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, the pedestrian began walking across College Avenue against a red light.
 
Subsequently, an oncoming 2019 Chevrolet Traverse heading southbound struck the man.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the victim suffered fatal injuries.
