ANAHEIM, CA (September 4, 2024) — An 84-year-old man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Anaheim Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue.
 
According to the Anaheim Police Department, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, an unidentified driver struck the elder near the intersection. Sometime later, Anaheim Police officers responded to reports of a person lying on the ground. After arriving, they located the victim who sustained severe traumatic injuries. The victim passed away at the scene, and the driver left without helping the victim.
 
The Anaheim Police has withheld the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
 
Due to the ongoing investigation, officers have not released a vehicle description.
