Veronica Ranon De Macabalin Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Cecil Avenue and High Street

 
DELANO, CA (October 25, 2021) – Authorities identified 82-year-old Veronica Ranon De Macabalin as the pedestrian struck and killed by a train near Cecil Avenue, Wednesday morning.
 
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on October 20 at about 9:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a train hit the victim at Cecil Avenue and High Street.
 
Emergency responders later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. It is unknown whether or not other injuries were sustained in the incident.
