8-Year-Old Hurt in Redding Bicycle Crash on Mistletoe Lane

 
REDDING, CA (November 17, 2021) — An 8-year-old suffered minor injuries in a bicycle accident on Mistletoe Lane near Carpenter Lane Tuesday morning.
 
According to reports, the incident happened around 7:48 a.m. in front of Mistletoe Elementary School. Under unclear circumstances, a 47-year-old woman in a Dodge truck struck an 8-year-old riding a bike as the driver exited the school.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and transported the juvenile to Mercy Medical Center in Redding for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, police interviewed the driver, learning the child wore no helmet.
