Police Arrest George Wahb after Fatally Striking Man in Garden Grove, Leaving the Scene

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (August 14, 2022) – A 77-year-old man died and police arrested George Wahb in a hit-and-run crash in Garden Grove on Thursday afternoon, August 11.
 
The accident happened around 12:06 p.m. in the 9500 block of Lampson Avenue. According to the Garden Grove Police Department, a black Subaru Impreza hit the man and fled the scene.
 
Responding officers located the victim lying in the street with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics then rushed him to a hospital, where he later died.
 
Wahb, a 26-year-old Stanton resident, was later found and arrested. He was booked into Orange County Jail on felony hit-and-run charges.
 
Authorities asked witnesses to call Investigator Mihalik at 714-741-5925.
