Matt Perkins, Denise Mayo, and Donald Mayo Hurt in Fatal Crash in Grass Valley

 
GRASS VALLEY, CA (June 6, 2022) — Three people suffered a range of injuries in a fatal high-speed car accident on Highway 20 near Chalk Bluff Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle accident happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday. For speed-related reasons, a driver in a 2002 Acura TL heading eastbound on Highway 20 crossed into the westbound lane.
 
Subsequently, the Acura collided head-on with a westbound 2022 Ford F350 hauling a livestock trailer with sheep inside.
 
Tragically, a 37-year-old Sacramento woman riding in the Acura suffered fatal injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics brought the Acura driver to a Sacramento hospital with major injuries while emergency personnel brought Donald Mayo — the Ford driver — and 67-year-old Denise Mayo — his passenger — to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for care.
 
A third Ford occupant, identified as 43-year-old Matt Perkins, suffered minor injuries but declined medical transportation.
 
At this time, the fatal victim’s name and outstanding details of this crash are not available. However, investigators plan to look into this case more closely to specify any unclear details.
